A Little Taste of the OR

We spent a little bit of time in the OR this semester learning about the anesthesia machine, the induction sequence and how to intubate our patients. During our third semester, Ben and I will be traveling to Davenport, FL near Orlando for our clinical days, then in October we will be moving there for the last 16 months of the program.

Poker Night

In a desperate need to get away from the books our class president had some of us over for a little poker night...the sunglasses were very necessary. I didn't win but a had a lot of fun playing, I'm trying to teach Ben to play Texas Hold 'Em so the next time poker night comes around ...we'll be ready:)

Valentines Day 2010

My baby wanted a blender...my baby got a blender:) The mixture you see below is one of many shakes made during 2nd semester..delicious! Ben bought me beautiful flowers and we had a nice seafood dinner to top off our Valentines Day...

Sit & Reach Competition

We are always inventing new competitions at the Wegener Household, last year it was leg wrestling, this year its a sit and reach competition. For those of you that don't know, the sit and reach is when you sit on the ground with your legs stretched in front of you and keeping your legs straight try to see how far you can touch...I know, riveting:)
