1st Wild Gator Siting

Ben and I encountered our first wild Florida alligator this afternoon on our way to Bob Evans...and let me tell ya, we are pumped about it:) We were driving down the road when Ben spotted an alligator (he always has his eyes peeled), so being an excellent racecar driver I whipped the baby car around, threw the hazards on, and we got out to investigate. This gator was atleast 6 feet long and was lazing right underneath a small bridge on a walking path...we were probably about 10 feet away. It was my coolest wild animal siting thus far! Ben and I are anxiously awaiting the moment we run into a panther (there are signs for "Beware of Panther Crossing" not far from our house...enjoy the pics! - The Alligator Hunters

Where we spotted him!

Fierce!

Look how close we got!!

And then after about 5 minutes, he flipped his tail and was gone in the water in the blink of an eye....sooooo fast!

Our Gator on the move

Remind me never to go swimming down here...

Haha, Ben recorded this video and you can hear me in the background telling him not to provoke it...we were so close, it was scary...luckily I didn't follow Ben's directions which were "get a rock to toss at it so I can record it in action"...we would've been gator bait-yikes!
